Support the Time to Care Act of 2019

Please contact your legislators and ask for their support on this important legislation. The Time to Care Act of 2019 (HB 341/SB 500) would establish a Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program, similar to unemployment insurance or short term disability insurance, made up of contributions by employers and employees. The legislation would provide up to 12 weeks of paid leave to Marylanders experiencing a qualifying life event, such as the birth of a child, care for a loved one, or care for oneself.
